Csr Initiatives
Gau Seva Mission was established in March 2018 to help the neglected, destitute and orphan cows in Vrindavan Dham. Since there was no adequate arrangement for the treatment of these helpless gauvansh in Shri Vrindavan Dham, a feeling came in my heart that they should be helped and served in any way as per one's capacity. Under this, we started the services of Gaumata Ambulance in May 2018, in which when we received information from around Vrindavan, about any helpless gau that fell ill or became a victim of an accident due to any reason, we sent our ambulance there to take the gauvansh for treatment.
They used to bring it and get it treated temporarily in the gau shelter in Vrindavan. I was deeply pained to see the plight of treatment of this helpless gau in Vrindavan Dham, because there is no arrangement of any kind for the treatment of this helpless gauvansh in any cow shelter in Vrindavan, nor does any gau shelter accept helpless gau. Seeing this helpless suffering of Gaumata, the thought came to my mind that we should try to remove this deficiency because where Thakur ji himself has served the cow, the gaumata is suffering so much. We should also try to overcome this deficiency, for which a proper hospital should be built for the gau, in which the cow progeny will be served and treated. Continuing our efforts, with the inspiration and grace of Thakur ji, we purchased land for a hospital in Vrindavan Dham in February 2021.
The foundation stone of which was laid by our beloved Bhajan Samrat Shri Nand Kishore Sharma (Nandu Ji Bhaiya) on 22 February 2021. We started gau sewa in our gaushala in 2023 with 8 cows under our care. We protect, feed, nurse & shelter ailing, starving, destitute and stray cows majority of which are abandoned by their owners or saved from butchers. Most of these Gauvansh are milk barren. Moreover, we offer vital medication to address the health needs of these vulnerable beings, particularly the elderly and destitute gauvansh that we rescue from critical conditions. We have a team of expert doctors who look after these cows and administer them quality medicines. Currently we shelter more than 100 cows and through dedicated care we have recovered and released more than 400 cows back to nature.
